So when you see bright, neon green along the edges of a march, or sticking out of a tear gas cloud, know there’s someone with pen and paper, keeping score, and giving power to the rule of law, while it still can. Thank god for the green hats.

Another protester directly screamed into the faces of the Illinois State Police troopers, “you’re helping the fascists! You’re directly helping them!”
The Special Response Teams are intended to be DHS’ special weapons and tactics (SWAT) teams, conducting high-risk raids and serving high-risk warrants targeting alleged criminals. On Friday, they faced off against college kids with poster boards, Christian pastors, and abuelas trying to deliver medication to detainees.
The lone instigator continuously walked in and out of the crowd, moved into people’s faces, and flexed his torso for no other reason than to provoke a reaction. He exchanged verbal insults with random protesters, but was drowned out by the mass of protesters, who directed chants of “shame” and “racist go home” at him.
